bus company is
called TRA-IN -
don't confuse its
name or logo for
anything to do with
trains! Lazzi or TRA-IN
run roughly
half-hourly to
Poggibonsi, where
you must change for
San Gimignano (buy a
through ticket), and
half-a-dozen times
daily to Montalcino
and Montepulciano.
Note that some buses
to the hill-towns
south of Siena now
depart from the
train station, not
from Piazza Gramsci.
Lazzi and SITA also
run regularly to
Florence (take an
express), and to
Massa Marittima,
Volterra and Rome.
